- Portugal (04/01/2014 - 09/01/2014)

If you are in your early twenties, busy with your studies, have no money but yet dreaming that one day you will have no obstacles to travel around the world, you are very likely to be wrong here. You will probably have money, but no time, or plenty of time, but no money, or both money and time but no energy or motivation, or your priorities will simply change... It has been over a year I posted any new travelling photos. There were good reasons for that - work-work-work, new business, family visits, wedding, saving for the house... Well, despite all the odds, we did not stop visiting other contries completely. We had an awesome trip to China/Tibet and an awesome trip to Portugal, both thanks to my job. Not ideal way to enjoy new places - in a rush, unprepared and exhausted, yet better than staying home - I won't remember what I did the week after, but the week in Portugal will certainly remain a bright spot in my memory.
2013
- Malaysia & Borneo (01/01/2013 - 16/01/2013)

Our vacations in Malaysia and Borneo, 16 days of self-driving. The mainland part covers the capital, Kuala Lumpur, Cameroon Highlands, Ipoh & Gua Tempurung caves, Georgetown & Penang island. The Borneo part includes Kota Kinabalu, Ranau Hot Springs, Sepilok, Sandakan, Semporna, diving in Mabul and a drive back with a night in Lahad Datu, visit to Sukau village and flight back from Sandakan. All places were nice, but those advertised least were the best of all.

- Malta (24/05/2012 - 27/05/2012)

Photos of our 3 day long stay in Malta. I was not very impressed by the island, it is definitely not the best destination for real summer holidays, but not bad for a weekend escape. In a nutshell: rocks and caves, cold water full of jellyfishes, awesome cactuses, ancient temples under ugly roofs, spectacular diving and annoying locals expecting tips.
- Tallinn, Estonia (26/03/2012 - 03/04/2012)

Tallinn is a much better option than Helsinki in terms of touristic attractions and prices for them. Don't miss antique shops where you can find nice suvenirs from soviet era for rather afordable prices.
- Helsinki, Finland (24/03/2012 - 26/03/2012)

Recently I added Finland and Estonia to my list of visited countries. We spent a weekend in Helsinki and later on a week in Tallinn where my conference took place. I would not recommend to go there in March, or even early April, but apart from discontent with weather, the trip went well.
